Purposes

Providing a clear, comprehensive and synthetic educational exploration of the history of the 1944 Invasion from a unique spot along with a unusual tool:

Supervision of visitors by a qualified historian with tailored lecture on the theme – general to particular – and using the largest museum resources offered by the DDA.

  • Reception of visitors by specialized instructors in workshops where they get a hands-on presentation of 1944 technologies.
  • Getting familiar with the emblematic vehicles of 1944 on secure four-wheel drive circuit.
  • Continuation of free-choice on-site lectures with contributions from professional guide and transport services. Historical and geographic screening of Normandy's beaches, at adaptable length.

The Academy's challenge is essentially about providing quality service for exploring on a free-choice basis the sites of the Landings in Normandy and the battle area around and all the way to the Rhine (optional).
